Why choose us

Why book the Sweet Spot

Local know-how and a boat that's ready when you are.

We know these waters

Years on Oregon rivers and coast mean we already know where the fish stack up by season — you skip the trial and error.

Gear is handled

Rods, reels, tackle, and rigging come ready on the boat, so you show up, step aboard, and start fishing.

Regs & runs dialed in

We track the open seasons, limits, and bulletins for you, so every trip is legal, timed to the run, and worth the drive.

About us

About Sweet Spot Guide Service

Sweet Spot Guide Service runs guided fishing trips aboard the Sweet Spot across Oregon's rivers and coastal waters. We spend our days reading the water, following the runs, and putting clients on fish — whether you're chasing a personal-best steelhead or taking the kids out for their first day on a boat. Every trip is built around what's actually biting that week, not a one-size-fits-all itinerary.

FAQ

Before you book

  • Do I need to bring my own gear?

No — rods, reels, and tackle are provided on the Sweet Spot. Just bring weather-appropriate clothing, a cooler for your catch, and any food or drinks you want for the day.

  • How do I check rates and book a trip?

Call us at (541) 954-0661 and we'll walk you through current rates, the trips we're running, and open dates. We'll match the trip to your group and what's biting.

  • Do you have trips for beginners and kids?

Yes. We run first-timer and family trips at an easy pace, set up the gear for you, and coach you through casting and landing fish — no experience needed.

  • What about fishing licenses and regulations?

You'll need a valid Oregon fishing license, which you can buy through ODFW. We stay on top of the seasons, limits, and bulletins and plan each trip around what's legally open and running.
